To amend the Towns’ Incorporation Act of 1888 so far as relates to the Town of Dartmouth, 1889 c88

An Act to amend the Towns Incorporation Act of 1888, so far as relates to the Town of Dartmouth.
(Passed the 11th day of April, A. D. 1889.)

SECTION.
1. Income not to be assessed.
2. Assessment roll amended.

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:

Income not to be assessed:
1. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Towns Income Incorporation Act of 1888, or the Municipal Assessment Act of 1888, the assessors appointed by the town council of the town of Dartmouth shall not include in any assessment or assessment roll the income of any person or corporation, but every assessment made by such assessors shall be based wholly upon real and personal property as defined in the Act first herein mentioned.

Assessment roll amended:
2. The assessment roll made up by the assessors for the town of Dartmouth for the present year shall, in addition to any alterations or amendments made or to be made therein by the assessment appeal court, be amended and the same is hereby amended by striking out of the same all amounts assessed therein as income.
