Gun (Mont Blanc Cannon) at Dartmouth, N.S

This is a cannon from the stern of the Mont-Blanc, a French munitions ship which exploded after colliding with a Norwegian vessel, the Imo, in Halifax Harbor on December 6th 1917, an event otherwise known as the Halifax Explosion. It is now located not far from where it landed originally, at the corner of Albro Lake Road and Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth.
