Came into the subscribers pasture at Dartmouth about the last of July, a red and white Cow. The owner may have her by proving property and paying expences. Dartmouth, Dec. 16. John Reeves.

That eligible place belonging to the subscriber for building a gentleman’s summer residence or converting to a small farm, on the road leading from Dartmouth upon the narrows, opposite the Naval hospital, possessing a commanding prospect, a brook of water running through the whole with three falls tory by water, or an iron furnace, and a large building said brook capable of working a sey (?) the manufacin on the same, with two chimneys; the whole plat containing four and a half acres of excellent land. Any person inclining to view the premises is requested to apply to Edward Foster at Dartmouth, the proprietor. May 20.

At Dartmouth, 17th inst. Mr. Eben. Allen, jr, age 47 years. He has left a wife and eleven children to lament his loss.

Escaped
From the service of Mr. Creighton at Dartmouth, Bernard Leland, about 18 years of age, stout made, pale complexion, Black hair and brown eyes. N.B. any person or persons harboring or concealing him will be prosecuted with the utmost severity of the law. The usual reward will be paid on his apprehension. W. Miller, Agent Prisoners of War. Whereas a variety of trespass have been committed upon the Lands of the subscribers at Dartmouth, more particularly by what are called Brooming parties (notwithstanding a special order to the contrary from Admiral Sir John B Warren;) We hereby give notice that we shall prosecute without distinction all persons concerned in committing or directing the committing such trespasses in the future.

A farm, lying on the Dartmouth side of Halifax Harbour, near the Narrows, formerly the property of Francis Coleson & late Galper Drillio’s, deceased, containing three hundred acres, more or less, of which a great part is clear and under cultivation; there are thereon a good dwelling house, a large and most excellent barn, with outhouses, (all new) – The above described farm lays in one of the most pleasant and advantageous situations of any near the Town, having a complete view of the Sackville Road, Bason, and North End of the Town, and near the Anchorage of his Majesty’s Ships, which afford a market for every article the Farm may produce; there is also a main Public Cart Road, from said farm to both Ferries, at Dartmouth, which can be passed on any day in the Year.
